NORWICH City are set to complete the signing of SV Darmstadt 98 midfielder Mario Vrančić from Friday, June 9 on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee subject to approval by the appropriate governing bodies.
Bosnian international Vrančić will officially join the Canaries once the international transfer window opens later this week, having spent the past two seasons with the Bundesliga outfit.
The 28-year-old scored four times in 23 top-flight appearances last term, also featuring for his national side in World Cup Qualifying.
Speaking exclusively to Norwich City TV after agreeing terms on a switch to Carrow Road, Vrančić said: "It’s a big move for me and I’m very happy to be joining.
"I had a good conversation with the coach and decided very quickly I wanted to be part of Norwich. It’s a good city with a good stadium, so there’s everything you need.
"I’m really happy and very proud to soon be part of Norwich."
City’s Head Coach, Daniel Farke, added: "I’ve followed Mario’s path for several years.
"He’s a really smart technical player with a brilliant left foot. He will bring a lot of quality passing and special creativity to the team.
"In addition to that he’s a really good character and a very nice guy who will fit into Norwich. I’m really looking forward to working with him."
