City 'keeper is targeting a play-off spotMICHAEL McGovern says City will do everything they can to make the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.
The Canaries reduced the gap to the top six to five points after the 2-0 win over Barnsley at Carrow Road prior to the international break.
McGovern, who kept goal for Northern Ireland in their World Cup qualifying victory against Norway on Sunday, insists he and his club teammates haven't relinquished hopes of achieving promotion this season.
"It's still possible and we will be fighting all the way," he told reporters, with City set to return to league action at Aston Villa on Saturday.
"We got a good result last week (against Barnsley) and are only five points behind so we'll keep fighting to the end.
"We've had a difficult season and under-performed for a large part of it but if we get in the play-offs it'll give us a chance of promotion."
McGovern is firmly established as his country's number one and reflecting on their Group C triumph at the weekend he added: "I think we blew them away in the first-half.
"The second-half was about keeping our concentration and focus and we did that – it was a professional job."
