Managing Director speaks exclusively to Norwich City TV

STEVE Stone says the path is now clear for Norwich City to lay positive foundations for its future.

City's new Managing Director, appointed as part of a footballing and executive restructure, sat down for an exclusive interview with Norwich City TV at Carrow Road this week.

He said: "It's fair to say it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for the club for almost a year. It's nice to not have interim in my title, and I think it's important for the club to have some stability going forward.

"The rationale in terms of splitting the Chief Executive role into two was to have the Managing Director role with the responsibility primarily for the business side of the club and fan engagement.

"In the short-term you're looking to get promoted, but in the long-term you've got to put the building blocks in place for improvement. That's why it's important to have a Sporting Director who's got the long-term strategy for the club.

"Having the Head Coach and the Sporting Director working together should enable us to have longer-term aims."
