Shrewsbury Town swept into the FA Cup second round on Saturday with a 5-0 win over non-league Aldershot Town.
Goals from Alex Rodman and Shaun Walley put the Sky Bet League Two side in control at the break, before Stefan Payne added a third after the hour-mark.
Arthur Gnahoua made it 4-0, ahead of City's Carlton Morris netting a fifth moments after coming on as a substitute.
Ben Godfrey played the full match, while Ebou Adams was an unused substitute for Salop.
Another side to progress were Doncaster Rovers, who won 6-2 away to ten-man Ebbsfleet United.
It wasn't always going Rovers' way however, with them trailing 2-0 before goals in first-half injury-time from Tommy Rowe and John Marquis levelled matters.
James Coppinger put them in front early in the second half, before a flurry of late goals saw Doncaster pull away while Chris Bush was sent off late on for Ebbsfleet.
City's Harry Toffolo played the full match for Doncaster.
Plymouth Argyle also booked their place in the next round, with Remi Matthews' clean sheet helping secure a 1-0 win at home to Grimsby Town.
Graham Carey's early goal settled the contest, with Diallang Jaiyesimi featuring as a second half substitute for Grimsby.
Finally, Henry Pollock played the full 90 minutes as Norwich United drew 1-1 at home to Barking, while Callum Ellesley did the same in Cheshunt's 2-2 draw at Grays Athletic.
Both of those matches took place in the Isthmian League North Division.
