James Husband wants to keep 'repaying the faith' shown in him by Norwich City ahead of Saturday's home meeting with Hull City.
The defender joined the Canaries this summer following a frustrating spell with Middlesbrough, and impressed during a strong September for Daniel Farke's side.
Speaking to the media on Friday afternoon, Husband said: "Last year I didn't play a lot so it's taken a while to get going.
"I took stick to start with but that's part and parcel of football. I'm comfortable in my surroundings and I back myself.
"I'm here to do a job for the team. I want to repay the faith Norwich have shown in me.
"I know I've got the ability to do that, it's about putting it out there."
City go into this weekend's game in superb form, unbeaten in their past seven and having won back-to-back away matches prior to the international break.
"I didn't come here to be in a mid-table team," the 23-year-old added.
"I don't think anyone did. We've proved we can do it over the past month.
"We didn't start the season well defensively but we've been a lot better since. We've come up with results.
"The boss is very good at rotating. We've all got our roles in the squad. I'm enjoying working with him."
