Ben Godfrey once again played 90 minutes as Shrewsbury Town stretched their lead at the top of Sky Bet League One with a 1-0 victory over Southend United on Tuesday evening.
Jon Nolan’s goal midway through the first half was enough to see Salop extend their near perfect league record this season to six wins and one draw from seven matches.
Godfrey’s fellow City loanees Carlton Morris and Ebou Adams were both unused substitutes.
In the same division, Harry Toffolo was also an unused substitute for Doncaster Rovers as they were beaten 2-1 away at Rochdale.
Doncaster took the lead on 74 minutes through John Marquis before conceding twice in stoppage time to have victory snatched away from them.
In Sky Bet League Two, Sean Raggett’s Lincoln City moved into the play-off places with a victory over Forest Green Rovers.
Harry Anderson’s 65th minute strike was enough to give the Imps the three points in testing conditions at the The New Lawn.
Elsewhere, Diallang Jaiyesimi played the final 15 minutes as Grimsby Town picked up an impressive 2-1 victory at Accrington Stanley.
Sam Jones and Martyn Woolford scored either side of Kayden Jackson’s leveller to move Grimsby up to 15th.
In the Vanarama National League, Michee Efete made his Torquay United debut as they lost 3-1 away at Bromley.
And Louis Ramsay also played 90 minutes for Woking as they beat Solihull Moors 2-1.
