Sean Raggett scored his first Football League goal on Saturday as Lincoln City earned a 2-1 win at Stevenage in Sky Bet League Two.

The visitors fell behind to Matt Godden's 26th minute strike, before their task was made harder when they saw Matt Green dismissed early in the second period.

Undeterred, Lincoln equalised soon after when Raggett rose to meet a corner ahead of Ollie Palmer's penalty turning the game in their favour.

Stevenage were also reduced to ten men late on after Luke Wilkinson was shown a straight red card, with Raggett later confirmed as The Imps' Man of the Match.

Elsewhere in the fourth tier, Diallang Jaiyesimi's Grimsby Town were convincingly beaten at Mansfield Town.

Jaiyesimi came off the bench in the 74th minute with his side already 3-0 down, and they fell further behind when Lee Angol converted his second penalty of the day.

Grimsby earned a late consolation with a penalty of their own, won by Jaiyesimi, but couldn't make any further inroads into the deficit as they went down to a 4-1 defeat.

A division above, Ben Godfrey made his home debut for Shrewsbury Town as they moved to the top of Sky Bet League One with victory over Wigan Athletic.

The only goal of the game came in the first half, Stefan Payne netting after Godfrey had won the ball well with a firm challenge in midfield.

That proved enough for The Shrews to triumph in their 3,000 Football League match and they have now collected 16 points from a possible 18 this term.

Ebou Adams featured as a late substitute for the home side, while Carlton Morris missed out entirely through injury.

The weekend also saw Harry Toffolo make his first appearance for Doncaster Rovers, who were beaten 1-0 by Northampton Town.

Matt Crooks netted the only goal of the game after just 21 seconds, with Toffolo replaced by Rovers stalwart James Coppinger at half-time.

In the National League, youngsters Louis Ramsay and Michee Efete were both unused substitutes for Woking and Torquay United respectively.

Woking were beaten 3-1 by Maidstone United while Torquay played out a 0-0 home draw with Wrexham.
