Orchard Toys create play space for Canaries

Norwich City Football Club have been working in partnership with Orchard Toys to create a space for young people and players’ families at their Carrow Road ground.

The local brands joined forces to create something new and different, using popular characters from Orchard Toys’ games and jigsaws, combined with their specialised knowledge of the preschool sector.

One of Orchard Toys’ Designers, Heather Yates, who worked on the project commented: “It was really great to see our characters come to life at such a large scale, with toys and play activities spanning a wide range of ages to appeal to all the family. I hope children enjoy playing in it as much as I enjoyed designing it!”

Simon Newbery, Managing Director of Orchard Toys, was similarly delighted with the project commenting: “We are so pleased to be able to work in partnership with Norwich City. The local community is really important to both businesses and it is fantastic that we have been able to work together to create such a special and engaging environment for young children.”

Norwich City’s Managing Director Steve Stone said: “We’re really delighted with the creative and fun space Orchard Toys have created for the children of our players and staff to enjoy on matchdays.

“I know Daniel Farke and the coaching staff really appreciate the welcoming environment it helps to create for our players’ families and guests on a matchday.”

City midfielder and Ireland international Wes Hoolahan added: “I think it’s really great what they’ve done with all the toys and activities they’ve put in their for the children. The kids really appreciate it and so do the mums and dads!”
