Norwich City duo Ben Godfrey and Carlton Morris suffered Wembley disappointment as Shrewsbury Town went down to a 1-0 defeat to Lincoln City in the Checkatrade Trophy Final on Sunday.
The pair, who have spent the whole of the 2017-18 season on loan to the Shrews, both completed the full match at England's national stadium.
Shrewsbury fell behind to Elliott Whitehouse's close-range finish on 16 minutes, with Morris closest to levelling before the break through an improvised volleyed effort which flew over the crossbar.
Town dominated for much of the second half, but couldn't find a way through as Lincoln held on to clinch the trophy.
Paul Hurst's side will now switch attention back to their Sky Bet League One campaign as they look to complete a push for promotion.
