Daniel Farke has tasked his side with upping their levels when they host Aston Villa in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday (12:30pm).
The Canaries slumped to a 4-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers on Easter Monday, surrending a first half lead in disappointing fashion at Loftus Road.
Farke wants his team to get back to better performances seen in other matches, as he told the media on Friday afternoon: "We had a really good game against Reading.
"We could have scored six or seven in that game. Then, in general against Fulham, it was a good performance and we were unlucky to lose.
"Three days later, we had a good 40 minutes against QPR and deserved to have the lead. After that, we were sloppy.
"It was important to be honest and strict after that game. It was an exception to our behaviour and we've spoken about showing a reaction."
On what he belives his side is up against when they face Steve Bruce's promotion hopefuls, Farke added: "Aston Villa will come here full of motivation.
"It's similar to the task against Fulham. They have an experienced squad and an experienced coach.
"We are in the underdog role so need a cup mentality again. We have to be there with an outstanding performance.
"We will try to be there with the best performance we can have and to win the game."
