Onel Hernandez is available for City’s trip to Preston North End after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Hernandez last played for City in the 3-2 win over Reading on March 17, and had made a big impression on the Canaries fans with a series of excellent performances.
“Onel has been back in team training since Tuesday,” Daniel Farke told the media on Friday lunchtime. “It’s perhaps smart to have him on the bench as the game will be full of intensity so we don’t want to take a risk when he’s been out with four or five weeks.
“It’ll be great to have him as an option, as he’d looked really brilliant before his injury.”
Christoph Zimmermann has been ruled out of the match with a glute injury, but Farke revealed the problem isn’t as bad as first feared.
“Zimmermann hasn’t been able to train due to a problem with his glute. At first we thought it might be quite serious, but it’s settled down and we now hope to have him back in team training next week.”
Harrison Reed has recovered from a back injury that was causing discomfort, while Marco Stiepermann is available after impressing for City’s Under-23s on Sunday on his return from injury.
“Marco played really well the other day, and it’s really good to have him back. We’ll have to see if he’s in the squad for Preston as there’s a lot of competition on the left-hand side at the moment, and we don’t want to rush him back when we’re well covered in his area.”
There was good news on Tom Trybull, who has been out of action since early February with a series of injuries.
“Tom Trybull has been back in team training for the last two days but he won’t travel with us as it’s a bit early.
“But there’s a chance for Leeds to have him back on the pitch, which is really good news as he’s such an important player.”
