Ben Marshall says he is already feeling settled at Norwich City as he and the team for their first match of the 2018-19 season.
Marshall joined City from Wolves in July and has been a regular feature throughout pre-season so far.
Speaking at the launch of City's new-look Barclay Stand with branding from sponsors Woodforde's, Marshall said: "It's been tough but that's what pre-season is about.
"We've managed to get a few results in pre-season which is good for our confidence.
"Hopefully we can use that momentum and take it into the season.
"I've settled in really well. Obviously I knew a couple of the lads which helped when I got here.
"I really like Norwich as a place and it feels like home already."
Marshall added that the excitement leading up to the first game is always there and he hopes the Canaries can get their season off to the perfect start.
"There's lot of competition. The lads are working really hard and trying to impress for that last bit.
"It's been a brilliant week and we're all looking forward to the season starting.
"When you go through pre-season, this is what you wait for. Hopefully all the work will pay off and the boys are flying."
