Marco Stiepermann was delighted to bag his first Carrow Road goal in the 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Stevenage on Tuesday night.
Stiepermann netted the first of three City goals, following quick thinking from Todd Cantwell and Moritz Leitner at a corner, and he felt the win was well-deserved.
"We are in the next round so we can be happy," Stiepermann said. "We knew before that it would be a tough game for us.
"A League Two opponent is always hard for us to play against. But I think in the end, it's a deserved win for us.
"The first goal was really clever from us. It was a good cross from Mo but then we conceded an unlucky goal.
"Then we knew again that the opponent would stand deeper and we would have to wait for our chance.
"In the end, we had many chances and thank god we're scored!"
Reflecting on his header which gave the Canaries the lead, Stiepermann added: "I think it was one of the easiest goals for me!
"Like I said, it was a brilliant cross from Mo and I suppose it was good anticipation from me.
"I'm very happy to score my first goal at Carrow Road. It was not the full stadium today but there were enough people that saw the goal."
