Christoph Zimmermann surprised a number pf youngsters at the latest Community Sports Foundation's (CSF) Summer Soccer School on Tuesday.
CSF Soccer Schools provide thousands of children with a fun-filled footballing experience in the school holidays every year.
There are Soccer Schools running at venues across Norfolk & Suffolk, and whether participants are new to football, or are already a budding Canary superstar, the Soccer Schools programme has been put together to provide a fun, holiday activity at an affordable price.
On Tuesday, the children were treated to a visit from City's tall German centre-back as he joined in on one of their sessions and posed for photos, as well as signing plenty of autographs.
"I would have loved to have done things like back in Germany but we didn't have those appearance opportunities back there," said Zimmermann.
"It's nice to sometimes take a step back from what you are doing every day and have these kinds of things to do.
"It makes you realise what a privileged position we are in. It just takes some words and a couple of autographs to put a smile on their faces.
Paul Loveday, Engagement Officer at CSF, said: "We run the CSF Soccer Schools during the half-terms and in the six-week summer holidays.
"The kids will come and have five days of football coaching, lots of fun and they get to meet Norwich City footballers which is brilliant for them.
"We've two of three of the Norwich fans in the group say: 'he's amazing' and they've all said how lovely he [Christoph] is.
"It's fabulous for the kids."
