Under-23s to face Newcastle United on Monday

10 December 2018

Norwich City's Under-23s are up against Newcastle United on Monday evening (7pm kick-off) at Northumberland FA as they return to action in the Premier League 2 Division 2.

Last time out the Under-23s lost 1-0 in the Premier League Cup against Nottingham Forest.

The Canaries picked up a draw against a strong Southampton side in their last league fixture, with Billy Johnson making a 75th minute penalty save to keep a clean sheet.

The Magpies beat Stoke City 3-2 last time they played in the Premier League 2 competition, moving them up to 6th in the table.

Newcastle’s main goal threat Elias Sorensen has been on top form this season, scoring 11 goals in 11 games, which includes eight in his last five league games.
