OTBC voted best programme in the league

20 December 2018

Norwich City matchday programme OTBC was voted Overall Winner for the EFL Championship at the Midlands Programme Club awards 2018-19. The programme beat off strong competition to win the top prize at the prestigious programme awards event.

Announcing the award, the judges said: “The quality of the Championship’s matchday programmes for the 2018-19 season is excellent. However, Norwich City’s stood out from the others and received some excellent feedback from the panel of judges for its layout, informative articles, 108 pages with plenty of reading material, great use of colour, and eye-catching first impression of the cover.

“The 'Portrait of an Icon' feature is excellent. Overall, a brilliant issue and great value for money.”

The programme, which costs only £3 for 108 pages of exclusive content, has received national attention after partnering with local football art studio Patterns of Play to produce bespoke covers for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.

Dan Brigham, head of publications at City, said: “We’re really proud of OTBC, and it’s fantastic to get recognition for what we feel is a market-leading programme.

“As a Club we remain fully committed to producing a matchday programme worthy of our brilliant fanbase. From front cover to back cover, we put a lot of thought and passion into ensuring each edition is full of exclusive content and much more than just day a matchday experience.

“This wouldn’t be possible without the brilliant team of contributors, which includes some of the very best writers on Norwich City.”

The next edition of OTBC, for the match against Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day, features an exclusive interview with Alex Tettey, a special Wes Hoolahan cover and a pull-out end-of-year quiz with brilliant prizes including hospitality tickets for the Directors’ Box at the Team Wes v Team Russ celebration match!
