Under-23s set for final task of year at home to Sunderland

17 December 2018

Norwich City Under-23s will aim to finish 2018 on a positive note on Monday night when they host Sunderland at Colney Training Centre.

It's been a busy recent period for David Wright's group and the match with the Black Cats will mark their third outing in just seven days.

The Canaries will be looking for their first victory since September 21 and face a Sunderland side who lie bottom of Premier League 2 Division 2, with just four points from their 12 games so far.

The two sides last met back on September 16, with an Ant Spyrou strike helping the City team pick up a 1-1 draw that day.

Ahead of the game, Wright said: "The performance level is the most important thing for me. Over the last couple of months, we've had so many changes within this group with boys going out on loan and moving up to the first-team.

"For me, it's so important to get that level of consistency in our performance and once we get that, the results will take care of themselves. Hopefully, we can put on a good show on Monday."

Please note – although fans are welcome to watch the matches at Colney they are advised that due to the extensive building works on site there is very limited parking.

What parking there is available is strictly on a first-come, first served basis and therefore supporters are advised to share transport or seek alternative methods of getting to the training ground – a drop off area at the gates will be employed on the day of a game.
