City youngster Todd Cantwell has joined Dutch side Fortuna Sittard on loan until the end of the season.
Cantwell, 19, has featured in several senior squads this season and recently made his first-team debut as a substitute against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Emirates FA Cup.
Fortuna Sittard are currently third in Holland’s Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football.
“I brought him on the pitch in a difficult game at Chelsea, which shows I trust him,” says City boss Daniel Farke. “But we have four new attacking signings, so it has become more difficult for Todd to get minutes.
“Now, at his age, it’s important he gets playing lots of games in a senior league, as he needs to step up from playing for the Under-23s.
“We hope he can get many minutes because he plays an important role in my plans for the summer.”
Everyone at Norwich City would like to wish Todd all of the best for the rest of the season.
