Grant Hanley says the pursuit of three Sky Bet Championship points is the only item on the agenda of Norwich City's players this weekend.
The Canaries visit Bristol City on Saturday in the wake of Alex Pritchard's departure to Huddersfield, and off the back of a fine 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup a week ago.
"January is always a strange time but it's part and parcel of football," Hanley told the media on Friday.
"Our focus is on the game. It feels a bit weird having a week between the matches but it's important we carry the momentum on.
"As players, it's important we focus on ourselves and what we have to do moving forward. We are focused on trying to get a result.
"Bristol City are a good side who have shown their quality but we'll go there with a game-plan."
Hanley formed part of an adjusted system last time out, operating as the central defensive figure alongside Christoph Zimmermann and Timm Klose.
"Playing in a back three is something we've done from time to time," the Scotland international added.
"I enjoyed it. It was nice to start with it last week as we've switched to it during games a few times.
"The more people play together, especially in the backline, the more relationships build. We will keep taking every game as it comes and keep working hard.
"I'm really enjoying my football here. I'm just trying to work hard and give as much as I can."
