The Canaries host Sheffield United on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Blades have had a sticky patch of late, but are still in the playoff spots after a strong start to the season. Here’s our in-depth look at the visitors.
Leon Clarke (pictured) is the Blades’ leading goalscorer this season with 15, putting in four Man of the Match performances in 24 appearances. Their captain Billy Sharp has also weighed in with eight goals for his boyhood club.
King of the Blades’ assists is Mark Duffy, who has set up eight goals and claimed two Man of the Match awards from his 24 appearances. He played a key role in United’s promotion campaign last season and has a host of EFL experience at clubs such as Morcambe, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Birmingham.
At the back, no-nonsense Jack O’Connell centre-half has become a fans’ favourite over the last two seasons. He has won 63% of his 1-on-1 duels this season, helping his side to 10 clean sheets.
Last Time Out
The Steel Derby saw Sheffield Wednesday hold United to a 0-0 draw, which meant the Bramall Lane side have won one of their last 10 league games.
The Owls were reduced to 10 men just after the hour mark when Glenn Loovens saw red for a second bookable offence. The Blades dominated possession but neither side was able to create many clear-cut chances. In fact, Clayton Donaldson’s 50th-minute header was the first effort on target by either side.
United have struggled for goals of late, scoring 12 in their last 10 games, but have the experience of Sharp, Clarke and Donaldson to change that.
The return fixture in September saw City claim a 1-0 victory at Bramall Lane thanks to a first-half Yanic Wildschut strike to give Norwich their first away victory of the season.
Angus Gunn impressed with a fine save from David Brooks, before James Maddison and Cameron Jerome set up Wildschut, who drove into the bottom corner. Norwich looked the more likely throughout with chances for Marco Stiepermann and Josh Murphy.
