Norwich City winger Josh Murphy has urged fans to back the club's Under-18s when they host Derby County in the FA Youth cup fourth round on Friday night (7pm).
David Wright's young Canaries are up against a side who defeated Manchester United in the previous round, meaning they face a significant test in the Carrow Road fixture.
Murphy, who first made his name in City's triumphant 2013 side, understands more than most the important role a partisan home crowd can have in the competition.
"When we played in the Youth Cup, it was the first taste for everyone of playing in front of a crowd," he told canaries.co.uk.
"The atmosphere was brilliant back then. I went to the Under-18s' game against Barnsley to watch, where the boys put in a really strong performance.
"Hopefully they can go on a nice run. As long as they work hard, their team is more than capable of doing that.
"Normally, at that age, you're used to just playing in front of parents. When you've got big support there it can give you a really big lift. It's new to the players and something they will relish."
