Norwich City Under-23s will 'adjust accordingly' when they host Newcastle United in Premier League 2 on Sunday (12pm), according to boss Matt Gill.
The Canaries' Development Squad are effectively playing something of second fiddle this weekend, with Friday's FA Youth Cup tie with Derby being the keynote fixture on the Academy's schedule.
That means a level of adaption is required for the Colney Training Centre fixture, something Gill is happy to embrace.
"We had it before when the Under-18s faced Barnsley and we played a slightly different team in the following game," he told canaries.co.uk.
"We've tried to be as helpful as we could for them with our game on Monday night at Stoke. There are three or four who can play in the Youth Cup, so we've managed their load.
"It's a big competition for the boys so it's been given a bit of priority. We'll select our team accordingly on Sunday."
While Gill expects an altered squad from the one which came up against Newcastle earlier in the campaign, he also expressed a desire to see the same levels of determination this time around.
"At St. James' Park earlier in the season we got a really good draw having been two goals down," the former midfielder added.
"It's a game we're looking forward to. We'll have a slightly different group to that night, with the likes of Todd Cantwell moving up and Adam Phillips going out on loan.
"That game was a catalyst in terms of giving belief to the group. We've grown from that and had a run of four decent results.
"The lads are in good spirits and hungry to improve. They're all doing whatever they can to give themselves a positive future individually."
