Paul Jones joins Exeter City on loan

4 January 2018

Norwich City goalkeeper Paul Jones has joined Exeter City on loan until the end of the season.

Jones joined the Canaries on a free transfer in August 2016 after leaving Portsmouth and made his debut in City’s 6-1 EFL Cup win over Coventry City later that month.

He returns to Exeter, where he made over 200 appearances between 2004 and 2011, with the Devon outfit currently 7th in Sky Bet League Two.

In his first spell with Exeter, Jones memorably became the first goalkeeper to save a penalty at the new Wembley Stadium during the 2006-07 Conference play-off final.
