Tom Trybull believes Norwich City fully deserved their 2-1 victory over Millwall on New Year’s Day.
City had to come from behind at Carrow Road after Steve Morison had given the visitors the lead in the first-half.
But Trybull praised his teammates for the reaction they showed after the interval to extend their unbeaten run to three matches.
“It was very important. We deserved the win today,” he said, speaking post-match. “We showed a really good performance today in the first-half.
“We were a little bit unlucky with the shot from Millwall for the first goal but we showed a good reaction after half-time and it was a well-deserved win.
“We knew that we played a good first-half, but we just missed the goal. We pressed the start button again and we got two goals.
“We played very good in the second-half. Also in the last weeks, we’ve played good in the defence and that’s the reason we turned this game as well.”
Trybull got the ball rolling for City with a superb second-half header and he felt it was vital in settling the nerves at Carrow Road.
“You had a little bit of a feeling that everyone was getting a little bit nervous and the crowd as well,” he added.
“But it was very important that we scored very early after half-time and so it makes things much easier for us.
“The crowd felt something was possible to turn around the game and we did it together with the crowd. It was good.
“I doesn’t matter who scored. In this case, it was me. I was happy to score but it was for the team because we deserved it.”
