Daniel Farke was pleased with the most aspects of City’s performance in their 3-1 pre-season victory at Luton Town.
City were at their fluid best in attack in the first-half and coupled that with a near-solid display in the second to eventually run out comfortable winners.
Speaking to Norwich City TV post-match, Farke said: “In general, I think it was pretty solid. We had a really good first-half with a clean sheet and three goals.
“We controlled most of the first-half apart from the first ten minutes when they were on the front foot a bit.
“But after that we had everything under control and even in the second-half, there were 10/15 minutes where we were perhaps not so concentrated in our possession but it’s quite normal.
“It’s pre-season and there were many changes in the game and in the end we could have used our chances a bit better.
“Our defending was good, our possession was good, creating of chances and using of chances also. I’m very pleased tonight.”
Grant Hanley made his first appearance of pre-season on the night and Emi Buendia his debut in a City shirt – Farke was happy with how both came through their first test of 2018-19.
“It was important for both to play tonight. Grant hasn’t played in pre-season yet but he’s an experienced player and he knows the lads.
“For Emi, it’s been too soon to bring him on the pitch because he’s only had a couple of sessions with the lads.
“But we got the feeling there aren’t so many games left of pre-season and it was a chance to bring him on the pitch and get used to playing with the lads.”
