Jordan Rhodes already feels at home at Norwich City, despite only joining the club last week.
The new Canaries frontman registered his first goal for the club in the 2-1 pre-season defeat to Union Berlin on Tuesday.
Speaking to Norwich City TV, Rhodes said: “I thought it was a good performance overall. It was tough in areas, but the conditions are what they are, the heat was an issue but everyone worked hard.
"We created some good chances and could have had more than the one goal we had tonight. But unfortunately we didn’t win the game.
“But looking at the bigger picture, we got some minutes in again tonight and will have some more minutes again on Thursday and it’s all about peaking towards that first game of the season.”
Having joined the Canaries only last week, the 28-year-old is already feeling settled with his new team-mates.
“They’ve made me feel really welcome,” he added. “It’s bizarre to think I’ve only been here for seven or eight days or something like that, and they have made me feel really at home.
"I’m really looking forward to this season and being part of something that hopefully we can make into something special.”
Having registered his first goal in Canary colours, he said: “On a personal note it’s nice to get off the mark and it was a great ball across from Felix [Passlack] and great build-up play from Ben Marshall.
"So it is nice to get off the mark, it would have been better in a winning scenario, but we need to dust ourselves down now and get ready for Thursday’s game.”
