Tom Trybull has already turned his attention to Norwich City's Sky Bet Championship opener at Birmingham City.
Speaking after City's 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic in their final match of pre-season, Trybull said the team are all keen to get their Championship campaign underway.
"I think, in general, we did well in pre-season but that doesn't matter because next week we will start the challenges of the Championship," said Trybull.
"That's the most important thing, you have to be awake next week and be fully focused on Birmingham.
"Pre-season is done and I'm happy that the challenge of the Championship is here next week."
Trybull endured a frustrating end to the previous campaign with injury hampering his fine first season in Norfolk.
But the midfield maestro is looking forward to showing the Canaries' supporters what he's made of once again.
"I'm really excited," he added. "I'm really looking forward to next week and getting lots of minutes in the tank.
"I want to show that I'm back completely.
"You can see from today and last season that you have to fight for each and every point.
"Then we can bring our style and our playmaking on the pitch."
