Norwich City shows support for ban on homophobic abuse in football stadia

26 June 2018

Sporting Director Stuart Webber and defender Russell Martin showed their support for a ban on homophobic abuse in football grounds this week in an event at the Houses of Parliament.

Joined by Director of Football Administration Zoe Ward, the trio were in attendance as former Wales rugby captain Gareth Thomas joined forces with Conservative MP Damian Collins to launch a draft bill aimed at outlawing homophobic chanting in the stands.

Thomas visited the Colney Training Centre to deliver a talk to Norwich City's first team and academy players and staff in November and Webber, Martin and Ward showed their support for the bill by attending the event.
