Academy Round-Up: Under-16s thrash Reading

25 March 2018

Norwich City Under-16s produced a brilliant display as they beat Reading 4-0 on Saturday.

It was a role reversal though for our Under-18s as they were beaten 4-1 by the same opponents.

Trialist Thomas Scully opened the scoring for City but the Royals then scored four times to take the points.

At Under-14 level, City drew 0-0 with West Ham United on Saturday in the Premier League National Cup which ensured their qualification to the next round after topping the group.

City’s Under-13s bowed out of the National Cup at the regional semi-final stage after losing on aggregate to Charlton Athletic.

The Under 10s competed in the Premier League Fives Tournament at Luton on Sunday, playing Ipswich Town, Millwall, Charlton Athletic, Derby County & Reading.

Entering two teams, both reached the semi-finals after an action packed day of games. This follows recent success for the U10s team as they reached the National Futsal Finals, losing out to Manchester City in the final.
