Daniel Farke wants his side to adopt a 'cup mentality' when they host the Sky Bet Championship's form side Fulham at Carrow Road on Good Friday (3pm).
The Cottagers have excelled in the second half of the 2017-18 campaign, boasting the best run of prolonged form in the division.
Although aware of the size of the challenge ahead, City's Head Coach is determined for his side to raise to the occasion.
"It's a big task for us and we need a cup mentality," Farke told the media at Colney Training Centre on Thursday afternoon.
"We're looking for a good performance and a good result. We're greedy for that.
"It will be a game between two sides who want to keep the ball and control possession. Our philosophies are similar.
"It's important we have periods when we dominate the game. It's important we are effective with our chances."
The game represents a return to action for both sides, following a two-week break from domestic business.
"We have had several players away, but so have Fulham," added Farke.
"The first game after an international break is always tricky. We know we aren't the favourites because Fulham are on fire.
"They are 16 games unbeaten and are the best team in the league at the moment. All their important players are in a really good shape.
"In each and every game I want to be successful. We want to climb the table as much as we can."
