Daniel Farke has delivered an injury update on a number of players ahead of Norwich City’s match with Fulham on Good Friday.
Onel Hernandez will miss the whole Easter schedule, including Monday’s trip to QPR, with a hamstring injury but Grant Hanley, Alex Tettey and Nelson Oliveira have all recovered from their respective issues.
“Onel had some hamstring problems after the last game,” said Farke, speaking at his pre-match press conference.
“He stretched the muscle a bit too far and we tried to get him fit for tomorrow but there is no chance. It seems like we will have to do without him against QPR as well which is sad because he was in good shape."
Grant Hanley withdrew from the Scotland squad early with shin splints but Farke said: “It’s not too bad. He came back a bit earlier and that helped us because he’s available.
“We have to be careful with the load because we have five games in 15 days so he may need a rest at some point, but he is available for tomorrow.”
On Tettey and Oliveira, Farke said: “Alex Tettey trained with the team on Saturday and has had several days with us. He’s back for tomorrow. Nelson has trained with us since Friday and took part in all of the sessions since. He’s available.”
Marley Watkins was away in China with Wales during the international break and could miss tomorrow’s game.
“He played in China with seven hours difference and that hasn’t helped us. He's quite jetlagged and I’m thinking about leaving him out of the squad for tomorrow,” Farke said.
Moritz Leitner has been absent since coming off in City’s defeat at Hull City and Farke expects the midfielder to return in time for next weekend’s match with Aston Villa.
Elsewhere, Tom Trybull is set to return to team training in the next couple of weeks but Matt Jarvis is still recovering from a muscle injury, although he could also make a return to Daniel Farke’s sessions soon.
