Adam Idah's Ireland set for Under-17 Euros

Adam Idah and the Republic of Ireland begin their UEFA Under-17 European Championship campaign on Saturday when they take on Belgium (5.45pm kick-off).

The Boys in Green head into the competition in superb form after winning each of their six qualifying matches.

Idah was integral to their success scoring eight times in those matches, making him the competition's leading scorer.

The striker, 17, is expected to lead the line for Colin O'Brien's side in their three Group C matches, starting against Belgium this weekend.

The tournament takes place in England with Spain heading into the competition as holders.

A schedule of Ireland's group fixtures is below:

5 May -  Republic of Ireland v Belgium (5.45pm)
Loughborough University Stadium, Loughborough

8 May - Republic of Ireland v Denmark (1pm)
St. George's Park, Burton-upon-Trent

11 May - Bosnia and Herzegovina v Republic or Ireland (1pm)
St. George's Park, Burton-upon-Trent
