Kenny McLean played 87 minutes last night but couldn't prevent Scotland from being beaten 2-0 at World Cup-bound Peru.
The match was the first of Scotland's two end-of-season friendlies and an inexperienced side came up just short in South America.
McLean's former Aberdeen teammate Scott McKenna handled the ball in the penalty area on 37 minutes, allowing Christian Cueva to open the scoring for Peru.
Jefferson Farfan doubled the hosts' lead shortly after half-time to make sure of the victory.
McLean almost played the full 90 minutes but was substituted for Motherwell's Chris Cadden with just a few minutes of the match remaining.
Scotland now travel to Mexico City where they will take on Mexico Sunday June 3 (1am kick-off, local time) before the UEFA Nations League begins in September.
