Norwich City can confirm that striker Carlton Morris is set to be sidelined for several months after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Morris picked up the injury in Shrewsbury Town's League One play-off final defeat to Rotherham United on Sunday and is set to miss several months of action.
The 22-year-old was a huge part of Salop's road to the play-off final, scoring ten times over the course of the 2017-18 season.
Sporting Director Stuart Webber said: "Carlton has had a brilliant season on loan at Shrewsbury and this injury comes as a huge blow for him.
"However he is a positive, driven young lad and I have no doubt that, together with the support of everyone at Norwich City, he will return to full fitness as soon as possible."
Everyone at Norwich City would like to wish Carlton all of the best throughout his recovery.
