Norwich City's superb 4-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough last Saturday has received the LG Performance of the Week award from the League Manager's Association.
A five-man panel, comprising of LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, determined that the award should go to Daniel Farke's Canaries following their resounding triumph.
Upon receiving the award, Farke said: "I've made it clear before, I'm not so much interested in individual awards but I take this in the name of my players and the name of my coaching staff and it's a sign of our good performance against Sheffield Wednesday.
"We have to be praised after this game and for that, it's nice to receive the award.
"It was a brilliant performance. Even the first-half was really solid and good. We were the better side. We missed a penalty and sometimes, it's difficult to cope with that, especially when you play with so many young players.
"We kept our nerves and sped up our game in the second-half. Without any doubt, the second-half was brilliant and we could have easily scored six or seven goals.
"I was even more pleased with our defensive behaviour. We gave our lives to protect our own goal and return back to Norwich with a clean sheet."
