Loan Round-Up: Bloomfield bags first Hamilton goal

5 November 2018

Mason Bloomfield scored his first goal for Hamilton Academical on Saturday as they beat Livingston 1-0 in the Scottish Premiership.

Bloomfield was introduced in the 81st minute in a bid to find a late winner but the Accies were struck a blow moments later when Mikel Miller was sent off for a second bookable offence.

However, Bloomfield was sent clear by Steven Boyd with just minutes left on the clock and coolly finished under the Livingston goalkeeper as Hamilton took the points.

On Friday night in the Sky Bet Championship, Bolton Wanderers were beaten 2-0 at Aston Villa with Remi Matthews an unused substitute and Yanic Wildschut not included in the matchday squad.

In League One, James Husband was substituted after 34 minutes of Fleetwood Town's 3-0 defeat at Gillingham.

In League Two, Tristan Abrahams came on a second-half substitute but couldn't prevent Exeter City losing 2-0 at Tranmere Rovers.

Goals either side of the interval from James Norwood saw Rovers secure an impressive victory and move above Exeter in the table.

In Germany, Marcel Franke played 90 minutes in SV Darmstadt's 3-1 victory over Magdeburg.

Savvas Mourgos, Diallang Jaiyesimi, Steven Naismith and Sean Raggett all missed the weekend's action through injury.
