Tristan Abrahams bagged his second goal of the season for Exeter City on Saturday in their 3-2 FA Cup first round defeat to Blackpool.
Abrahams, 19, was introduced in the 52nd minute when the score was 3-1 and he struck from long-range to set up a tight finale.
However, Exeter failed to find that equaliser and exited the competition.
Elsewhere in the FA Cup, James Husband played the full 90 minutes as Fleetwood Town cruised past Alfreton Town 4-1.
Paddy Madden scored twice in the rout as the Fishermen made it through to Round Two.
In the Championship, Remi Matthews was an unused substitute in Bolton Wanderers' 1-0 defeat at home to Swansea City.
Barrie McKay's long-range effort was the difference between the two sides at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Savvas Mourgos, Sean Raggett, Steven Naismith, Diallang Jaiyesimi and Yanic Wildschut all missed this weekend's action through injury.
Meanwhile, Marcel Franke is in action on Monday night as SV Darmstadt take on VfL Bochum in 2.Bundesliga.
