Norwich City could be without Moritz Leitner for Tuesday’s game against Hull City at the KCOM stadium after the midfielder picked up an injury at the weekend.
Daniel Farke said Leitner was the only major doubt for the game, and a late decision would be made on whether he is able to travel.
Farke said: “The only major doubt is Moritz Leitner. He has had some problems with his calf.
“We will have to make a late decision on him, we have training this afternoon and then a light session tomorrow morning, so we will decide then.
“We hope that Moritz is available because he is crucial, but if not it’s a chance for a different player to be there with a good performance.”
Emi Buendia went down with a knock late on in the game against The Swans, but the City boss said the Argentine is available for the game.
“Emi [Buendia] got a knock on his knee but he seems to be ok and he is available for tomorrow,” Farke said.
Grant Hanley played 90 minutes for City’s Under-23s side on Friday evening, in their 0-0 draw against Southampton in the Premier League 2.
Farke said that the minutes Hanley got were crucial for him and his come back from an injury that has seen him out for three months.
“It was important from him to have his first game minutes for the first time in several months,” said Farke.
“For centre backs, it’s important to play without mistakes and it’s all about decision making. Sometimes you can throw an offensive player in after injury and hope that he is there with something magic, but centre backs need to get used to the pace and the decision making again.”
