Under-23s to renew Cup ambitions at Exeter

7 November 2018

Norwich City Under-23s are up against Exeter City’s Under-23s on Thursday in their second match of the Premier League Cup, at St James’ Park (7pm kick-off).

Last time out in the Cup, City travelled to Holmes Park to take on Leicester City, however the Canaries lost 3-0 with goals coming from Uche Rubio, Tyrese Shade and a Ciaren Jones own goal.

The Canaries will be looking to return to winning ways, after narrowly losing to Middlesbrough on Sunday at Heritage Park, Devonte Aransibia scoring City’s goal in a 2-1 loss.

Like City, Exeter lost their opening game of Group D, losing against Nottingham Forest 3-1. James Dodd was Exeter’s only goal scorer against Forest.

The Grecians Under-23s head coach Dan Green was appointed in the summer, after stepping-up from Exeter’s Under-18s side.
