Under-23s to host Southampton on Friday

21 November 2018

Norwich City Under-23s return to action on Friday, coming up against Southampton in the Premier League 2 (PL2) at Colney Training Centre on Friday (7pm Kick-off).

The Canaries lost 3-0 against Athletic Bilbao last time out, in the Premier League International Cup, but will be hoping to bounce back against the Saints later this week.

The visitors sit third in the table, one point off Reading who are currently top of the PL2 Division 2 table.

The Saints come into the game on the back of three league wins in a row, beating Wolves, Sunderland and West Brom, scoring six goals within them three games.

21-year old forward, Marcus Barnes has been Southampton’s main goal threat this season, scoring six goals in ten games, finding the net in each of his last three PL2 matches.

You can follow updates of the match at Colney by following our Academy Twitter account HERE. We'll have reaction after the final whistle on canaries.co.uk.

Please note – although fans are welcome to watch the matches at Colney they are advised that due to the extensive building works on site there is very limited parking.

What parking there is available is strictly on a first-come, first served basis and therefore supporters are advised to share transport or seek alternative methods of getting to the training ground – a drop off area at the gates will be employed on the day of a game.
