Meet the opposition

Stoke City are playing Championship football for the first time since the 2007–08 campaign, after suffering relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Potters finished second in 2008, recording 79 points in 46 games in what was a promotion winning campaign.

Gary Rowett was appointed Stoke manager in May, with his side currently sitting 16th in the table, five-points behind the Canaries.

On-loan striker Benick Afobe has been Stoke’s main goal threat so far this season, being directly involved in six goals this season, scoring four and assisting twice.

Last time out, Stoke ended a three-game winless streak with a convincing 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers. Summer signing Tom Ince carried on his fine run of form on Tuesday, scoring a goal in each of his last three Championship games.

The last time City played Stoke at home was in the Premier League back in August 2015 when the game ended in a 1-1 draw , when Russell Martin scored the equaliser.
