Matt Gill leaves Norwich City

25 October 2018

Norwich City can confirm Under-23s Head Coach Matt Gill has left the Club and is set to join Ipswich Town’s first team coaching staff.

Gill joined City as a player in 2009 and spent two seasons at Carrow Road before he left at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.

The former midfielder returned to the Canaries in 2014 to work with the Academy and he’s spent the past 18 months coaching the Club’s Under-23s.

Gill joins up with former City manager Paul Lambert who was announced as Ipswich’s new boss on Saturday.

Everyone at Norwich City would like to thank Matt for all his hard work and dedication during his time with us and wish him all the very best for the future.

Under-18s coach David Wright will take charge of City’s U23s for their PL2 match with Fulham on Monday evening at Carrow Road.
