Under-18s earn their first win of the season

22 October 2018

Norwich City’s Under-18s beat Swansea City 3-1 in the Under-18s Premier League South at Warwick University.

City started off on the front foot, with midfielder Zach Dronfield scoring within the first five minutes of the game against the side directly above David Wright's side in the table.

The Canaries showed great confidence throughout the first half; however with five minutes remaining Connor Shields equalised for the hosts which meant the teams went into half-time one goal apiece.

Norwich’s confident first half was met with an outstanding second half. City came racing out of the blocks with two early goals from Saul Milovanovic and Tyrese Omotoye, which meant City were in-line to get their first win of the season.

City carried on showing some wonderful attacking movement; with the young players having great confidence on the ball as they went on to control and dictate the game.

City XI: William Johnson, Ethan Vaughan, Atli Barkarson, Andrew Omobamidele, Zach Dronfield, Louis Lomas (c), Denzelle Olopade, Saul Milovanovic, Isak Thorvaldsson, Josh Giurgi, Tyrese Omotoye (Anis Mehmeti, 80’).
