International Preview: Klose returns to Switzerland squad

3 September 2018

A number of Norwich City players are in action for their respective international sides over the next two weeks.

Timm Klose has been included in the Switzerland squad for the first time since October 2016 and could add to his tally of 12 caps in their upcoming fixtures.

They kick off their UEFA Nations League campaign against Iceland on Saturday before a friendly at Wembley against England on Tuesday.

City left-back Jamal Lewis completed a remarkable first season in senior football last year, making his first appearance for Northern Ireland in their 2-1 friendly win over South Korea.

The 19-year old, along with veteran stopper Michael McGovern, has been included in Michael O'Neill's squad for the UEFA Nations League match with Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday and friendly with Israel on Tuesday.

Summer recruit Teemu Pukki has earned 64 caps for Finland over the years and the forward is in line to add to that amount.

City's top scorer so far has been included in the squad for the Nations League opener with Hungary on Saturday and friendly against Estonia on Tuesday.

At youth level, Max Aarons could make his first appearance for England as he attends the upcoming Under-19s training camp.

The Young Lions face two friendlies with the Netherlands and Belgium as they prepare for their UEFA European Championship qualifiers next month.

Adam Idah is also in friendly action for the Republic of Ireland Under-19s this month as they take on Wales in a double-header.

And finally, Icelandic duo Isak Thorvaldsson and Atli Barkarson face two friendly matches with Albania.
