Visit Tampa Bay partnership with Norwich City wins prestigious award

Visit Tampa Bay has won the top award for Creativity in Public Relations at the annual Visit Florida Flagler Awards announced on Wednesday September 10, 2018.

The award specifically relates to the PR campaign and international activation of the Visit Tampa Bay partnership with Norwich City FC for the 2017-18 season.

“We are thrilled to receive this great honor from our colleagues in Florida tourism," said Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay.

"I could not be prouder of our great PR team. This award has scored a major victory for Visit Tampa Bay and our valued partners at Norwich City Football Club. It truly shows the power of successful partnerships in promoting travel and the economic growth that comes with it."

Sam Jeffery, Head of Partnership Activation at Norwich City Football Club added: “We’re extremely proud that our partnership with Visit Tampa Bay has been recognised at these prestigious awards.

“From a quirky half-time challenge, a full stadium takeover through to City legends Grant Holt and Adam Drury facing off at Tampa Time, it’s been such an enjoyable and fulfilling association with Visit Tampa Bay.

“We see the partnership only strengthening over time and our warm weather training camp in November will give our team and biggest sponsors the chance to experience everything Tampa Bay has to offer.”

The Flagler Awards are the annual state-wide competition recognising outstanding tourism marketing within Florida. Created by Visit Florida, the Awards honour the individuals and organisations that help position Florida as the Number 1. Travel destination in the world.

Visit Tampa Bay also received the Silver Award in Tourism Advocacy at this year’s awards. Visit Tampa Bay’s PR is handled by Magic Torch PR within the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.
