Mario Vrancic was delighted he contribute in a crucial part of the game as Norwich City beat Reading.
Vrancic was introduced as a second-half substitute with the score a 1-0 to City but Reading equalised within minutes of the the Bosnian playmaker coming on.
However, City went straight up the other and regained the lead, with Vrancic finishing brilliantly into the bottom corner and he was pleased he could help the team in such a defining moment of the match.
"Stiepi [Marco Stiepermann] made a great run and then I had a little turn and managed to score," he said.
"It was important, definitely, because the pressure was very high at that point.
"It was amazing to celebrate in front of the fans. They were a big help today and I can only thank them.
"We are very delighted and happy to win this game. It was a great team performance and we just need to carry this on.
"It was a big fight today once again against a good side. But we defended very well and the victory was very important.
Vrancic missed all of pre-season and the start to the regular season through injury but made his return on Saturday in the win over Middlesbrough.
And he admits he is very happy to be back on the pitch in a yellow and green shirt: "It feels amazing to be back.
"I struggled a lot during the whole of pre-season and missed a lot of training but it's all about getting back in shape and helping the team."
Looking ahead to another important game at the weekend, Vrancic said: "Every win is very important for our confidence.
"It's a different type of opponent for us at the weekend, we lost there last season.
"We want to fight again on Saturday and win more points."
