Forbes moves on after gaining qualifications

25 April 2019

Former Canary Adrian Forbes is to leave Norwich City’s Academy after successfully completing the funded Premier League Elite Coaches Apprenticeship Scheme (ECAS) and gaining his Diploma in Coach Development.

Paying tribute to Adrian’s contribution during his four years working on the course, City’s Academy Manager Steve Weaver said: “From an Academy perspective we would like to thank Adrian for his hard work and dedication to his role as Foundation Phase Coach. He leaves having successfully passed his course and also gained his A Licence and advanced youth award.

“Everybody at Colney and Carrow Road wishes Adrian every success in his future career.”

Popular winger and England Youth international Forbes made 121 appearances for the Canaries and scored eight goals between 1996 and 2001, later going on to work for the Club’s Community Sports Foundation before undertaking his BAME ECAS course with the Academy.

He also works as a matchday PA announcer at Carrow Road for first team games.
