Daniel Farke says his Norwich City side need to be fully switched on as they close in on their aim of promotion to the Premier League.
City are six points clear of third placed Leeds United with just two games to go but Farke isn’t taking anything for granted as he prepares his team for their final home test of the 2018-19 campaign.
“I always try and be honest with my players. We know we only need one point but it's very necessary, because the goals and points could swing in Leeds' favour,” he said at his pre-match press conference.
“We know we have to be fully switched on. It would be a perfect fit to win promotion at home. We will have the whole squad there, 24 lads and some younger lads.
“But my experiences in football say it's not like a painted picture. We have to work pretty hard to get this romantic finish.”
“We have a home game in front of our excited fans and we want to win all three points.
“When you are too calm and you think everything is done, you get complacent. We are confident but we know every game is tough.”
Farke believes teams have raised their game against his Canaries over recent weeks and he says Blackburn will do the same on Saturday night.
“Blackburn will be highly-motivated. [Sheffield Wednesday manager] Steve Bruce said his team played their best game against us, same as Wigan.
“When you are league leaders, everyone is even more motivated because they know they are in the spotlight. We are prepared for a tough game.
“The mood is good. We are in a good position. Day-to-day, we have got more and more focused. Blackburn are in good shape and we have to be switched on to get points.”
