Norwich City are delighted to reveal the exciting new cover concept for 2019-20 season’s official matchday programme, OTBC.
Each cover of OTBC will feature a current first-team player in a retro shirt, as well as a player from the opposition wearing one of their most famous kits. Saturday’s programme features midfielder Moritz Leitner sporting the iconic 1989-1992 kit, with Matt Ritchie in Newcastle’s kit from the early 1990s.
The covers are a collaboration between local graphic designer and Norwich fan Ben Stokes, who has worked with fansite Along Come Norwich, and one of NCFC’s in-house designers Teague Hipkiss.
Dan Brigham, Publications Manager at Norwich City, said: “For the last two seasons we’ve worked with Patterns of Play to produce some wonderful covers that have received national accolades.
“For the upcoming season, we wanted to stick with our ethos of doing something that’s not been done before with our covers, and Ben Stokes has come up with a unique look that we’re absolutely certain the fans will love.”
Ben Stokes said: “My dad bought me a programme on my first visit to Carrow Road and it's still in my collection of cherished NCFC memorabilia. 27 years later, to be involved in the design of the programme cover feels pretty unbelievable and is a huge honour.
“The design is inspired by a love of all things retro - stickers, posters, programmes and is a celebration of the iconic kits worn by both Norwich City and each visiting team to Carrow Road this season.”
More details regarding the new-look OTBC will be revealed across the Club’s channels shortly, with even more pages of award-winning content to look forward to.
