Four Norwich loanees were in action over the past week, with Charlie Gilmour bagging an assist for Netherlands side SC Telstar.
The midfielder played all 90 minutes in the Dutch side’s unfortunate 3-2 loss to Ajax II in the Eerste Divisie. Telstar found themselves 3-0 down by the 70th minute, but an 85th minute reply from Ilias Bronkhurst and a 87th minute goal from Reda Kharchouch, assisted by Gilmour, made sure the visitors worked for their three points.
The loss sees Telstar stay in 9th place in the league, with just three points separating 7th and 13th in a competitive mid-table battle.
Looking at to League One action, Carlton Morris played the full 90 minutes of the Millers’ 3-2 defeat to Portsmouth on Tuesday. Morris made his contribution through an assist to level the scores, before Pompey put the final nail in the coffin just minutes after.
The loss sees Rotherham sitting in 4th place in the third tier, however just three points difference separates them from 10th.
Meanwhile in the FA Cup second round, James Husband completed the full 90 minutes in Blackpool’s 3-1 win over Maidstone United. Blackpool progress to the third round of the competition, with the December 2 draw awaiting them.
Turning attention to non-league football, Daniel Barden helped Bury Town as they drew 1-1 with Coggeshall Town on Saturday. The point takes the side to the top of the Isthmian League North, just pipping Heybridge Swifts to the top spot on goal difference.
